I would give you the stars ~ In the Watercolour Garden 04

Hello Mary here to share a layout using the "In the Watercolour Garden Range" This range is so pretty and elegant, perfect for documenting my Daughters recent wedding

I Would Give you the Stars

I have kept the layout simple so as not to distract from the gorgeous paper

The chipboard pieces are from my stash , which I have just painted with gesso. I added Megs Satin edged organza ribbon and pearl trim on the feather. The butterfly I fussy cut from the Cut and Create Sheet.

I placed some gems randomly and a rose pattern with texture paste and stencil in the corner

Some lace from Megs store above my photo for some softness.
Simpliciy sometimes is the best.

Thank you for calling and I hope I have inspired you to visit Meg's Store for Gorgeous papers and embellishments to document your precious memories.
Happy Creating

Simple Design to Create Cards

Happy New Year! I hope that you are having a safe and restful holiday season. The end of the year is always a whirlwind with preparations for gatherings with little free time to create, so I was so excited to find some time to use some of my Lavande papers from Meg's Garden to create two cards. My first uses some dies and flowers to create this all purpose card with a stamped sentiment. I was wanting a card that could be used for several occasions and I felt this sentiment was perfect.
I layered my papers and used foam tape for dimension. I also placed an oval die over part of the paper so that I could stamp my sentiment on it and incorporate it into my design.
My second card is a thank you card. I never seem to have enough of these cards! It is also from the same sheet of paper and was constructed in the same way.
I am really thrilled at how these cards turned out...simple design and easy to adapt for any card size and occasion.

A set of papers in the shabby chic style
- in pale pastel colours designed for papercraft art
- that requires a simple paper with a light colour
- but with a very small amount of detail to create a perfect background.

There are 12 background papers - pinks, lavender, greens, blues, creams, music, lace & stripes
plus  2 papers of watercolour florals that are
perfect to use with our NEW PRODUCT LINE

New Product Line - DieCuts

I have been looking at these for quite a while - started searching for dies that would suit the Meg's Garden style of papers & embellishments & I have combined several suppliers to create a fabulous collection.
There is a section of stand-alone dies:
flowers, wreaths, tags, circles, curls, corners, sprays, borders  & more....
link to dies:  http://megsgarden.com/contents/en-us/d10813_Dies.html

The other section contains Bundles of Stamps & Coordinating Dies:

Link to Bundles: http://megsgarden.com/contents/en-us/d10816_Bundle-of-Dies-_-Stamps.html.

The philosophy to the bundles is Layering; layer the stamps on top of layered dies & create dimension on your project.  Each bundle has layering tips as shown in the bundle above - Vintage Roses - with five different roses of various sizes, and plenty of corresponding leaves, you will be able to to make endless floral arrangements!   55 stamps + 16 dies in this bundle.

You can have serious fun creating magic on your papercraft art piece

Memory Book ~ New Alchemy Range

Hello Mary here today to share with you pages from a memory book I created for my Brother for Christmas using the new Alchemy Range. I had intended to make the journal itself but ran out of time, so I used a A4 3 ring folder to keep the memorys in.

I have kept the first page quite simple so as my brother can add journalling if he wishes. I fussy cut the envelope image and created a tag with a quote to tuck inside along with photos. I also fussy cut the "Journal" image and the scroll and feather from the cut and create sheet .

I added pages of my Dad in my brothers Studio on Christmas Day 2005. I have used images from the cut and create sheet to embellish my page along with fibre and brass embellishments from Megs Store.

I fussy cut the ART image from the cut and create sheet and then made a little slit with a craft knife to add it to the clip board image.

I have added a tag with journalling at the side of the photo. Images from the cut and create sheet. My Dad's favourite place to sit and have a smoke at the wood tank.

I fussy cut the flower urn from the cut and create sheet,  placed it on foam squares and placed flowers in it from Megs Store.

for this page I ripped the side, added pp to the underside of the rip so there would be a pattern showing not just white and then I added the coffee stain paper image from the cut and create page . I used a frame from Megs Store and painted it with gesso for a whitewash effect to frame Dad with.

My Grandparents sitting on the steps of their home.Using layers of left over PP from Megs to use as a mat for my photo.

I have added a page of my Mothers handwriting telling the story of her Mother starting a bush school.

Two of my brothers and myself when we were young

I fussy cut the open book and placed it on foam dots to give dimentsion and used a PP from the Sherlock Holmes range , the ranges work well together.

Again I have left the last page simple with room for journalling and I fussy cut the envelope , cut a slit and packed it with old family photos for my brother.
I encourage you to visit Megs Store for beautiful papers and embellishments to create with

Thank you for calling by. I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and wishing everyone all good things for the New Year.
Happy Creating

Alchemy 101 Mini Album

Hello Bloggers

When I picked up the printed papers at the print shop, the Alchemy 101 Book Papers went straight to my craft table to wait for time to play.

A Chocolate Brown cardstock was decided on instead of my normal black for grungy albums & in some areas I used black & ivory cardstock as accents.  I had some hessian leftover from a gift - I intended to make this as a rounded spine. A few vintage trinkets & charms were chosen & put in a dish.  I pulled the Camel Mesh, Natural Jute, Jute Twine rolls & got started.

I used several ways to add to pages in this album.

By the time I was finished it was very fat & then need a ribbon to close. There are 2 double pages; the camel mesh ribbon is used throughout as a pocket; there are lots of other pockets, a section for journaling or an area for a map or docs or ??,  several little books closed with magnets are used and the most important thing - I had fun.

Have a look at my Alchemy 101 Album

Any questions, please email me

Hello Bloggers

The Alchemy 101 & French Chic papers were picked up at the print shop. I put the French Chic A4 papers onto my Craft table in order to make some cards - had to switch my brain from grungy to shabby chic. I did so & made 6 cards.

The cards are all in different cardstock colours & fully decorated inside

Have a look at the video which shows all the details

Lavender cardstock, image from French Chic Ephemera, ivory silk flower, paper rose leaves, champagne ribbon & ivory tulle. Mats are done in dusky pink to highlight the image with white between the pink & the image as another highlighter. Interior done with lace over the champagne ribbon, images from French Chic ephemera & vintage trinket.

Ivory cardstock, matting in the pink paper & the cover cut back 2 cm to show more of the pink paper which is a pocket on the inside. Champagne organza ribbon, narrow lace, ivory silk flower, more ephemera from the collection. A hat pin of beads

Blue papers were used on this one which opens from the bottom. Lace is tied around the top, pearls added as decoration. Ephemera from the Collection, more lace & some blue 3mm satin ribbon on the inside for pockets

This larger card is in greens with 2 shades on green cardstock, paper flowers with their twisted stems & a green organza ribbon. Inside a diecut & pocket with tags & green 3mm satin ribbon.

Lavender is always a beautiful colour to use - a lavender ribbon tied around the card, 2 punched butterflies, paper rose & rosebuds with a lavender sating ribbon. Inside has pockets, ephemera images, & more lavender ribbon.

Ivory cardstock is folded at the top, lace & ribbon decorated with 2 roses & a bow on the bottom of the front. A little book closed with a magnet & ephemera. The inside uses the multi pastel strip paper, lace, ribbon & ephemera

This card is probably my favourite. It is an accordion card on ivory cardstock closed with champagne organza ribbon. The front uses ephemera & a tag from the collection in a vintage ephemera envelope; a sign, 2 blue paper mini roses with rose leaves & narrow lace. The inside 4 pages use only patterned paper from the collection.

Hope you enjoy the cards & can collect some ideas.

Bye for now
