Card Featuring White Flowers on Green with Frame - Barbara Lindsey

Card with decorative frame

Hi Everyone,
Barbara here with another card using the gorgeous “White Flowers on Green” Paper Collection from Meg’s Garden.
I thought I would share with you how I created the green frame for this card. The frame, comes as plain chipboard.
The first step is to cover the frame on both sides with white Gesso and wait for it to dry. Note: I have shown another frame in it’s original state before applying Gesso.
I then coloured the frame using Copics, Ranger Distress markers and Pantone Tria markers. Any type of marker will work I think.  I also added some accents with a White Paint Marker.DSC05123
Once I had finished colouring to my liking, and my surface was dry, I added a coat of Ranger Glossy Accents to finish the frame.
Once it is completely dry, (best to leave overnight as sometimes the urge to touch can spell disaster),  it is ready to be added to a card or album.

With the addition of some fussy cutting and a few flowers and leaves, a simple card with a little wow!
Thank you for stopping by.
